As we're going to be coming away from the scavenger hunt, I figured a more proper thread would be required. Battles still have today and tomorrow to finish up, and then I'll be working hard on grading all those scavenger tasks so that we can work on making the prizes available. There's something more important that I need to address now though!

On June 30th at 11:59 pm (23:59) sign-ups for both the Purine and Imperial armies will be shut down! That means you have all of the rest of this week and then they're closing their doors. It's possible you might see chances for joining either side pop up again at some point, but your easiest way of joining has finally set a date to shut own their operations.

All roleplay areas should be available now. If you can see it, you can post in it. Areas that are specific to either faction are hidden from the opposing side. Many of you expressed wishes for the Training Grounds, so they have returned as well. Beware though that you don't earn battle points when training there. They're literally for that. Training.

The battlegrounds aren't available yet, but I'll get those set up later today as well. Once you see them you can start battles if you're eager to.

Just a small update with respect to the war. For those who are not sure on how to calculate how many sentences you have in your post for BPs, we have a guide to help you. This is how the Staff calculates your sentences, and what will determine if your posts are 10 sentences or not.

Note that these were the rules according to the last war, too. If you participated five years ago, it's the exact same thing. Doesn't hurt to refresh your mind, though!

For those that participated in the previous war, you may remember that there was a bounty hunters guild where you could earn some keystones in exchange for taking down an NPC or a user's pet with a bounty on its head. While we will not be using user bounties (unless you really want your pet to have a bounty on their head. Then we can maybe talk) the guild has come back and has now opened its doors. For those interested, you should definitely go check it out while the bounties are hot.

A special new feature has been introduced for this war to stimulate roleplaying! What happens is, that you pick a pet or two, sign up through the shiny new threads introduced in your respective Mess Hall/Campsite area, and you'll be randomly allocated a roleplay partner and an objective to complete through roleplay. For completing a roleplay, you'll earn a whopping 5 BP per post!

Are we allowed to sign up for two (or more) missions at once or are we only allowed to participate in one at a time? I ask, because my three main characters involved don't actually get along, and its supposed to stay that way. They will only be taking on missions solo, most likely, but I would like to use more than one.

I noticed that we have to note how many other roleplayers that we will are okay roleplaying with, but it then says that we are paired with a user from the opposing side. If the lowest number of other roleplayers is two, does that mean we have the chance of being paired up against two opposing users or alongside another user from the same side?

Uh, if you... wanted to separate your entries with... like some sort of line or something, I'll just take that as separate entries and put them with different people.

Yes, that is correct. Most of the time I will just try to go for a 1v1 (mostly because things move faster and it seems to be the standard on this site), however if there's an uneven amount and someone has specified that they're okay with 3, yes, that scenario will happen. I'll try to avoid it, unless it's specifically mentioned in the 'Other' bit though.

Question from me as well: What if the person you end up RPing with just...doesn' reply anymore because school eats them or whatever? So that you basically can't complete the RP. That's...pretty unfair then. =/ We always have these problems during tourneys even so that there needs to be a time limit to at least somehow get people to reply (and even then battles fail). What prevents the RPs from getting stuck if our partner vanishes? I don't want to do 15 posts, just to then have my partner vanish in the middle and me ending up with no reward because of that. =/

- Please use the 'Other' area if you have any specifics when it comes to the RP. If you specify you want to RP with a specific person/pet, please make sure they also say they want to RP with you.

Very good question Shieba. :'| After some discussion, we're introducing another new revision to the rules.
- If your allocated partner does not reply in a week, they will forfeit their prize. In the event of this, please send a little message for help in this topic, and I'll organise for you to have a new partner to help complete the objective. If you're stuck for a reply, please feel free to brainstorm plot ideas with your partner.

What if the pet we RP with - I assume only barrack-pets are allowed? - is in a battle and dies? As we know, all RPs with the pet have to stop then. 8| What then?

Gah. I'm sorry, but I had one more question that I forgot last time.

Even though I am a Purine, I do have at least one character that is an Imperialist, so she obviously wouldn't do missions from the Purine's point of view. If I would like to use her, am I allowed? If so, I imagine that I just indicate that she is an Imperial character?

Yeah, no that's completely fine. I just imagine they'd... work with the other team (that's up to you still though xD), if they happened to be Imperial. I'd.. indicate that in the Other section, though. Just so I'm aware of this. c:

I just realized that I have a question about the bounties. It says that only two pets can challenge at one time, and it must be in the same battle - do they have to belong to two different players? Or could I challenge using two of my pets?
