If the buzzing of excitement was powerful in the Marketplace and the Breeding Area, it was almost nothing compared to the screams and joy that resonated through the Contest Area. Admittedly, it had been a long time since anyone had seen activity in that particular corner of the community. With the revival of the Kuhnas, however, it sounded like the best place to get some festivities going strong.
Yet, the source of the excitement wasn't even a parade or a multitude of game booths. No, it just the one solitary booth sitting here, right next to the beautiful fountain that adorned the place. Many people were already here, talking about Kuhnas, breeding, new litters, new species being discovered, adoption of Kuhnas, and so many other things. Among others, they spoke of tickets; something about many raffles going on at one time in order to promote the Kuhna festivities. Apparently, there wasn't just the one, and the prizes sounded positively wonderful.
Curious about these raffles, you also made your way towards the booth, where a long line was waiting for you. People were eagerly waiting for their turn, some even holding Kuhna plushies and toys. Maybe there were some game booths with Kuhna prizes? But before you knew it, it was your turn to pass by the raffle booth.
A small albino woman was sitting behind the table, radiating a positively cheerful grin across her face. The scar that ran across her face was a little jarring, but it actually wasn't all that noticeable if you didn't pay too much attention. She was wearing a black blouse with an intricate tie, and looked very professional and casual at the same time. Her long, messy white hair flowed behind her, but none of that mattered compared to the bright smile and the excitement that were plastered on her face.
"Hi!" she greeted excitedly as she grabbed your hand with both of hers and shook. "Welcome to the Kuhna festivities! Would you like a pin? A poster? A plush?" she welcomed before sending a barrage of questions your way, and without giving you a chance to even remember what she'd listed or to say what you wanted — or didn't want — she simply pushed all the aforementioned accessories towards you. "The more the merrier!"
"Okay, so, what can I do for you? You want a ticket for my raffle, right?" she asked, and again, without giving you a chance to argue or reply, she handed over the ticket, together with a pamphlet. "Here's your ticket, if you decide to take it, and here's what you can win from this booth! Isn't it exciting?" she explained as she smiled all the more, white teeth shining.
"Oh, if you want, you can also participate in the other raffles we have going!" she said as she pointed to her right, motioning to two other booths in the distance. It seemed like, in order to have enough room for the lines and to welcome everyone to talk and enjoy the Kuhna festivities, the three booths had been spread apart. "My two boys are running them, so you can't miss them: they take after their mom," she bragged shamelessly, although of course, they only took after her for the most part; obviously she'd needed someone for those two sons to happen. "And, well, there's also another booth down the line, too, if you want to that check that one out as well," she added, its existence escaping her mind for just a minute. That one wasn't run by one of her children, so she didn't really know what was the deal with it.
"Anyway, have fun, and good luck!"
