There was silence on the other line for a moment, minus Arrikanez crying in the background. Then, the man answered, a good deal more quiet than he had been. "I took him because I need him. I need his blood, I need his soul." he said. "He's powerful. And that power could potentially level several cities. If I harness the power of that soul, even a FRAGMENT of it... I'll leave you to think about that."
The sound next heard on the phone was very obviously someone kicking a wall or a door. "SHUT UP!" the man hollered at Arrikanez. The crying died down to sniffles, then muffled whimpers and the occasional weak sound.
When the man talked on the phone again, he sounded exasperated. "What's your other question, and make it snappy. This brat is getting on my nerves."
The sounds in the background of the phone were muffled, but it sounded like cloth shuffling, then something being spit out, and gasping breaths, followed by harsh coughing.
"Hang on." the man said, turning back around. "I said.. SHUT UP!"
There was another sound of a kick, and a muffled 'crack', followed by an unmuffled scream.
