The library was particularly quiet today; only two or three other patrons that Dean had noticed, reading silently in their corners. He briefly wondered why, but it hardly mattered, and today it was something of a blessing. Going out in public was becoming a concern despite his best efforts.
He didn't actually know how often he needed to feed. Piotr had given him some highly improbable numbers, and it wasn't like he could just go out and
ask. Not to mention his difficulty managing the other changes that had accompanied his, ah, condition, which Piotr didn't even pretend to be willing to help with. Though he was likely to be found in a library in any case, on this particular day it was the problem of vampirism that had brought Dean here. There had to be a resource somewhere in here, or at least some helpful mythology.
He studied a row of books, reference materials on folklore and other such things. No way of knowing ahead of time if they were worth his while. Such things were bound to be riddled with inaccuracies, and he didn't have a reliable way of sorting out true from false anyway. Maybe this was a mistake.
