S.W. listened intently. "So, how did Firehail get lost?" he asked, curious. He landed on shore, bored with flying, and waded out a bit. He was only in an inch of water, but any farther he would never go. But he was very curious about what happened. He waited paitiently for an answer.

S.W. laughed. "Sounds like one of the Matches that lives with my zoo. Her name's Arctic Wind. She's so funny, she thinks she can do all this stuff, but the reality is, she can barely stay steady while flying." he said. There was pleasure in his voice. He was actually trying to teach the poor thing to glide, but she still isn't getting the hang of it.

S.W. sighed. "She never had problems when she was little, but then... she just forgot to fly. Everyone's been helping, trying to get her up in the air for at least a minute, but she can barely stay up 20 seconds. We don't know what's wrong." he said. It was a bit sad, but you couldn't help but laugh at Arcy's antics.

S.W. sighed again, but it was a deeper, more painful sigh. "We're hoping it's not that. We knew that, as a baby, she had fallen out of her nest, right after she learned how to fly, but she didn't really stop just then, it took her a while to forget. She just, seems to be forgetting everything now. Today, before I left, I had to remind her of my name. And Rena's, and Marie's. You may-" he stopped, coughing. He was a bit upset. He'd never expected to come to this conclusion. He cleared his throat. "You may be right." he said. His voice had cracked at the end of the sentence. He turned away from his friends. "If you don't mind, I'll be leaving now." he said, a bit of weariness in his voice. He rose up slowly, flapping his wings steadily. "Good-bye, friends." he said, and flew towards home.
