"I used to be really depressed I used to cut myself and do drugs. My counselor helped me find a hobby to do that would help me stop drugs and cut." After feeling a bit embarrassed for talking about her past, Aeris heard Flit say,  "Oh, god, you guys are two peas in a pod you are! Shade is always depressed; You have no idea how many times I've had to keep this big lug from offing himself." Then she clapped her hands over her mouth and said, "Oh, darn...I don't think he wanted me to tell you that."

Shade looked away and said, "Umm..." Aeris looked at Shade, not quite knowing what to say.

[Kitsumi]

"Really?" Shade couldn't help but be shocked. "No offense, but you seem too...happy to have ever been depressed. I guess that counselor and skateboarding really helped, huh? Too bad I don't have anything like that." He smiled shyly at her.

Casting an angry glance at Flit, Shade said, "If you're going to just make us feel bad, leave!" At this, Flit's wings drooped a bit. "You really want me to leave? Even knowing what will happen to me?" Shade quickly shook his head so hard, Flit nearly fell off. "Oh, god, no...sorry, Flit. Forget I said that, okay?" He turned to Aeris, embarrassed. "Sorry...."

She looked at Shade and said, "Yeah it helped quite a bit but I think alot of credit has to go to my counselor for helping me through it. If you want I could be there for you even though I hardly know you I'd love to help" After saying that Aeris looked at Shade she saw him look angrily at Flit and say, "If you're going to just make us feel bad, leave!" At this, Flit's wings drooped a bit. "You really want me to leave? Even knowing what will happen to me?" Shade quickly shook his head so hard, Flit nearly fell off. "Oh, god, no...sorry, Flit. Forget I said that, okay?" He turned to Aeris, embarrassed. "Sorry...." Aeris looked at Shade and said, "it's ok." She looked at flit on the ground and asked, "Are you ok?"

((Ooc - stop repeating my posts! -.- Haha jk...but seriously, you don't have to repeat everything I...or Flit/Shade, whatever...say!))

Shade blushed, but smiled at Aeris. "Really? You'd be willing to do that?" He shuffled his feet a bit shyly. "I mean, I might be...too far gone. You know?"

When Aeris asked about Flit, she simply crossed her arms and huffed. Shade had to step in and explain. "Flit's fine. It's just...when we met, something kinda...weird happened. We're life-bonded now. If she were to leave, and not come back, she'd slowly wither away and die. I wouldn't die, but I'd get extremely sick; our life-bond is so strong. A lot of times, she starts feeling ill even going  just a little over a mile away. So we usually stick together.

Of course I would. No one is too far gone." Aeris looked at Shade and flit and asked, "What exactly happened?  I don't want to pry or anything I'm just a bit curious." She felt a bit weird for asking but still wanted to know.

[Kitsumi]

A small smile formed on Shade's face. "I hope you're right. And thanks." Flit was rolling her eyes and mumbling something about "blasted hormones" and "getting mushy" but Shade just ignored her...as usual.

Shade bit his lip at Aeris's question. "Well it's a long story. But the shorter version of it is that I kinda...well I almost died. Flit saved me by transferring some of her life's energy into me. I lived, but part of her and part of me kinda...fused. Our energy joined together, and we were life bonded." Shade ran a hand through his hair. "Sorry, I know I'm not explaining this well. I can't think of a better way to explain it though."

"I know I'm right. And no problem." After saying this Aeris heard Flit say something about hormones and getting mushy. Aeris saw Shade bite his lip after she asked her question. But, he still answered it. She listened to every bit of the answer and replied, "I think I got the gist of it. How did you almost die?"

[Kitsumi]

Shade sighed. He hated talking about his past; even Flit could hardly get him to talk about it. But Aeris seemed nice enough, and she was trying to help him..."I slit my wrists."

He looked down as he spoke, not wanting her to see the shame and regret in his eyes. "I accidentally started a fire that killed my family. I...couldn't deal with all that I felt, so I tried to kill myself. For some reason, though, this stupid little Quiksylph came along and brought me back from the brink of death." Shade cast a look that was half irritation and half fondness over at Flit. "Of course, I'm grateful for it now."

"He wasn't grateful at the time, though!" Flit chimed in, her wings working fast so that she could hover between Aerias and Shade. "He kept bitching about how he wanted to die, that he didnt deserve to live. Annoying as hell, he was."
