The two of them somehow whiffed past each other, despite being in such close quarters. Then again, that might have been why that happened. Shawn was growling now. Despite his efforts, he wasn't making any progress! He should have this in the bag by now! Suddenly, a plan came to him. He dove all of a sudden, then shot upwards, trying to aim for Adey's belly this time. Hopefully, an attack from this direction would be lest expected.

Adey felt a great sense of relief swell up in her chest when she barely dodged the dragon. Unfortunately, her strike had missed as well. Growling, she turned around and prepared to make one more move. But...where had the Paragon gone? She glanced around desperately before realizing that he was coming from underneath her. Startled, she tried to move to the side as quickly as possible and swung her scythe when she thought Shawn was close enough.
